Terms and Conditions

When you book and pay for a consultation with For Your Wonders you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions and have consented to the use of your personal information in the way described.

Client

We identify our clients as the parents or carers who enter into a contract with us by booking a consultation. During our consultations we take in good faith the information provided by parents/carers and professionals and provide advice and problem solving based solely on the information given in the consultation.

This means that the personal information recorded and retained relates to the parent/carer, rather than the child or young person the parent/carer is thinking about. No identifying personal information about the children/young people will be recorded or retained by For Your Wonders.

Changing a booking

We know your time is valuable, and ours is too. Out of respect for our other clients, we ask that you give us at least 7 days’ notice if you need to change an appointment. Please email us as soon as possible if you need to rearrange.

Cancelling a booking

Your consultation is very important to us. We understand that sometimes, the unexpected occurs and you may need to cancel your booking.

Cancellation: To cancel, we respectfully request that you contact us at least 7 days prior to your booking. Within this timescale we will refund your costs, minus an admin fee of £5.

If you cancel between 7 days and 24 hours before the consultation, we will refund fifty percent. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice (unless in exceptional circumstances) will not be refunded.

Storage and use of your personal data

The following information should be read in conjunction with our privacy policy.

  • Although we are not working directly with young people, good practice suggests that psychologists should retain records of their involvement for 5 years, from the last contact. It is our responsibility to ensure that this information is secured securely.
  • Our clients’ (parents/carers) personal details will be retained digitally within the brief written summary provided. Any handwritten notes taken during the consultation will be destroyed once the summary has been written.
  • Statement about where digital files will be stored. We send electronic copied of the written summaries to our clients and, by agreement, anyone they invited to join the consultation.
  • We do not make your personal information available to anyone without your permission, unless legally required to.
  • We never pass your data to third parties for any commercial purpose such as marketing or advertising.
  • We have a duty of care towards our clients and the children/young people that they are responsible for that overrides our duty to keep information about them confidential. If information was shared by any party that indicated that a child or young person was in danger or could be harmed, we would disclose this to relevant authorities.
